The triumph of Silenus – Bacchanal (lost during the XVIIIth century)

The painting matching this engraving was most likely part of a set ordered by Cardinal Richelieu for his castle in Poitou and delivered in 1636. The work disappeared in the XVIII century. An ancient copy is kept at the National Gallery in London.
